to being successful in a courtroom
trying lengthy complicated trials is
relatability
and being yourself being authentic I
think juries can kind of ferret out
lawyers that are kind of playing a part
so to speak
as opposed to being real and human and
authentic and I’ve just felt over the
years in all the cases I’ve tried that’s
the thing I try to never waver from
essentially it’s just be yourself
[Music]
I’ve always been a little bit of a
showman by like I like people I like
being in front of people I’ve always
liked kind of thinking on my feet
using intuition I’m kind of an intuitive
person by Nature being in a courtroom in
front of people trying these cases those
are really important attributes and I
felt like I’ve always kind of had that
and I think you know I don’t come from
an educated family
so I can kind of read people and read a
room you know my parents are high school
dropouts you know I’m the first person
in my family to go to college
I’ve never come very far from where I
came so to speak I’m still the same
person from the same background that
I’ve always been I think that’s helped
me try cases
