in the late 1990s I was practicing real

enjoying what I was doing at one point a

foreign national came into my office to

buy a condo and the next thing I knew I

helped him with the purchase of his

condo with the sale of his home I helped

him with another real estate matter and

suddenly he wanted me to do his

immigration I told him I know nothing

about immigration and I’m not going to

be able to help you with your

immigration and like many foreign

nationals he looked at me and said you

immigration so I said ok I’ll learn a

little bit about it I signed up to take

a four-hour course on immigration and

found it to be the most interesting four

hours I had ever spent in an academic

situation I learned that you can truly

the law and help and guide these foreign

nationals through the law so that they

can legally come to the United States

and survive and thrive here in the

that is what I wanted to do so I started

to take on one or two immigration cases

I reached out to other immigration

lawyers who were most helpful on those

first few cases and I ended up getting
