Okay, first of all, Ohio is a torch state and that is as opposed to other states that are called no fault states.
So in Ohio, if you’re if you’re hurt in an accident, you you go after the lawyer will go after the insurance company for
the at fault driver. We call that liability coverage. And every driver in Ohio is required to have liability coverage. Okay. Unfortunately, not
everybody follows the rules and there’s driver, trust me, there are drivers out there all over the place who are driving around without insurance coverage or
very little insurance coverage. You need to protect yourself and have coverage if you get into an accident with an uninsured motorist. And that is
specifically called uninsured motors coverage and underinsured motors coverage. Absolutely positively have those coverages so you will be protected and your family will be protected. Um,
you should also have what’s called medical payments coverage as part of your policy. And don’t skimp on the limits. The difference between a
$100,000 policy and a $250,000 policy is not worth the pennies that are involved. So, get yourself good coverage

Dayton Ohio, personal injury attorney Kevin Attkisson talks about what you should do if you’re hit by a driver who doesn’t have insurance. He notes that Ohio is a tort state, unlike no-fault states, meaning that if someone is injured in a car accident, the claim is typically brought against the at-fault driver’s insurance company through liability coverage, which every driver is required to carry. He emphasizes, however, that not all drivers comply with insurance requirements, which is why it is important to protect yourself with uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, as well as medical payments coverage, and he strongly advises not to skimp on policy limits because the difference in cost between low and higher coverage is minimal compared to the financial protection it provides.
