on the face of it it’s pretty simple you
put in
there there’s a calculator that we use
most frequently
it’s a complex series of math
calculations but the the state has a
really simple calculator to use
and so largely we put in the the you
know the income numbers and the
costs that people incur for
spousal maintenance and support of other
kids and any public benefits that may be
received
we figure out the number of days each
parent has with the kids and puts we put
that into a formula
into this calculator and that gives us
the number
i mean the the harder part of it is each
of those line items are subject to
debate and discussion you know for wages
do you include bonuses do you include
overtime you know what what counts as
wages for a self-employed person you
know how do you deal with depreciation
so there’s all these line items that um
are subject to to discussion so on a
simple case you just put in the numbers
on a lot of cases we’re trying to sort
out what’s what’s appropriate numbers to
to include
