Birth injuries are perhaps one of the most um technically difficult of medical
malpractice cases. The medicine is dense and the injuries to not only the child
but also um the way it impacts the parents lives are enormous. They take a long time.
They require a great deal of experts.
OBGYNS, nurses, uh, neurologists, pediatric, neuroraiologists.
They are highly contested cases. And the reason for that is because the injuries are so significant. For many families
that have um had a child suffer through a birth injury, that child will require um assistance medically and perhaps in
all aspects of their life for the rest of their lives. The parents lives are changed because they have a child that
will require things that maybe they didn’t expect that child was going to have to to be assisted with in their
lives. And it the shock wave of the damages is really vast on those cases.
And so they take a tremendous amount of work because the stakes are so high for the child and the families.
