Caud Equina syndrome is fundamentally a compression of the um nerves typically
in the lumbar spine what’s called L4 to L5 or L5 to S1. The causes of it can be
a variety of things. Most of the time it’s a bulging disc or a disc impingement, but it can be other things
too. For instance, um someone can have a tumor, a growth that presses on that spinal canal, compresses those nerves.
Another way it manifests is someone can have a hematoma, a bleed inside their body that compresses on those nerve
roots flowing into their body. So, we see it in a lot of different ways. Um but the outcome is still the same. That person is experiencing a medical
emergency that needs to be addressed and addressed very quickly.
