My advice would be to get a lawyer. It is just incredibly difficult to navigate the asylum system and the immigration court without a lawyer. And even with a lawyer, it’s a very difficult time to win asylum. You really want to make sure that you have a lawyer that is knowledgeable about asylum and has a lot of experience both in the immigration courts and in the federal courts of appeals.
