I enjoy the property subrogation industry because you’re always trying to solve a problem and a puzzle. You’re presented with a scenario after a loss has happened and you’re trying to figure out why the loss happened. What occurred to cause the property damage? You’re working with a team of very experienced experts and engineers and different backgrounds whether it’s a structural engineer or a mechanical engineer or a environmentalist on certain claims. You become exposed to a lot of different areas and at the end of the day, the goal is to determine what happened, trying to be cost effective in doing so, and inviting the appropriate parties to join you in understanding what went wrong to get the insured back to where they should be and recover some money for the insurance carrier.
