I’ll take a step back and say that, you know, wage theft nationwide and in
California is an epidemic. And so what we’re really talking about is theft of
wages by employers. And there are many different forms that it can take. First is not by not paying you for all the
hours that you’re working by causing you to work off the clock or mclassifying you as an independent contractor or
classifying you as exempt from overtime payment. You know, it also looks at your workplace conditions. Are you getting
the um breaks from work which are important for your health and safety? So, are you getting your meal breaks?
Are you getting your rest breaks? Are you being reimbursed for all of the expenses that you incur in in doing your
work? And so those are sort of the main areas that we’re looking at when we’re looking at a wage in our case.
Los Angeles, CA employment attorney Jennifer Kramer talks about some examples of wage and hour violations.
