LM10 and LM30 are labor management forms that were required by the government a number of years ago to try to combat the issue of bribery. And what supposed to happen is if any lawyer or law firm spends more than $250.00 on a union officer, they’re supposed to report it. And same thing the union officer and a LM 30 is supposed to report it. The problem is unless the unions and the lawyer organizations do auditing where they actually check to see if their members are telling the truth, the system fails.
