Gullian-Barre syndrome.  It’s referred to a GBS.  And that’s when the immune system damages the peripheral nervous system, and it can cause muscle weakness and, in extreme cases, paralysis.  It can also cause muscle weakness and paralysis of the lungs, so some patients require ventilation.  It can also have lasting injuries.  I have a client now who’s partially paralyzed, and he’s had that injury now for three years.  So that’s kind of a more extreme type of injury that I see.
