well I like to tell people it’s lessons

I learned as a CPA in undergraduate I

got an accounting degree and out of law

school I went to work with big Aid

accounting firms and then I had my own

small CPA firm for a while

and that allowed me to sit back and

listen to my clients tell me about all

the things that they liked about their

lawyers but also all the things that

they didn’t like

so when I set up my law firm in 1993 I

designed it to make sure I didn’t do any

of the things the clients didn’t like so

they thought the lawyers didn’t listen

to them enough they were too busy

telling them what they thought they

should do

they thought that the lawyers didn’t

educate them enough they got done with a

plan and they didn’t understand it they

didn’t feel at the end they had good

instructions on how to utilize their

plan on a day-to-day basis and also they

were a little concerned with fees they

never had an idea what it was going to

cost so they could budget and make sure

that they could afford the plan they

were told we bill by the hour and we

keep track and send you a bill once

a month once every two weeks so when I

set up my Law Firm I intentionally made

sure I didn’t make any of those mistakes
