well the advice that I have for somebody

who’s interested in a truck is to and

usually it’s their family member right

maybe you have a family member that’s

been injured in a crash with a

commercial vehicle and that family

member is in the hospital and you’re

thinking to yourself you know what let’s

get things squared away medically let’s

make sure everything is okay and then

when our family member gets out of the

hospital then we’ll consider whether we

should call a lawyer to deal with it and

my suggestion in any crash that involves

a commercial vehicle is do not wait

the evidence is fleeting is a

professional investigation that’s going

on on the other side I assure you that

that’s happening you need to make

certain that there is somebody fighting

for you and your family to make sure

that the evidence is preserved that can

prove fault to make sure that the

evidence isn’t being tainted or being

manipulated in some way by a

professional uh defense that’s occurring

on the other side of the fence with the

at fault driver and so I would say that

is the last circumstance where you

should wait any time at all before

calling a lawyer if I could get involved

an hour before after two hours after

certainly within 24 hours after then we

have a chance to make sure that we’re on

the same footing as what’s happening on

the other side because the first call

after 9-1-1 hopefully they’re calling

9-1-1 sometimes they’re not even calling

9-1-1 first the first call out to 9-1-1

from the trucker is to their safety

director who is going to start their in

accident investigation protocol calls

immediately and you need to be in the

same footing
