With regard to any trucking accident case, they’re all memorable, but one of the most memorable, based on the victim in my instance, involved a mother who had just become a mother eight weeks before being involved in a trucking accident. She was on her way to visit a friend in the hospital and was a backseat passenger. There were two passengers in the front – the front seat passenger and the driver. She was in the back. A truck driver, basically not paying attention and tired, ran into the rear of the car. The only person in that car injured was my client, and her injury was that of death. Two months before, she had given birth to twins. Those twins never got to meet their mom. As a person, meaning she may have breastfed them, etc., but all she had with her kids was eight weeks. From that point forward, it was just those children and their dad. This trucking accident took the life of a young mother, and she never got to meet or really establish a quality relationship with her children. From a financial standpoint, the family was, for use of a better word, financially fine. We were able to get them proper compensation, but in my opinion, honestly speaking, those cases never pan out so that the overall quality of life for the family is what it would be when you lose a loved one.
