So what many people don’t realize is transportation, whether it’s trucking companies or trucks or rail or air pretty much affects everything that we do on a daily basis. Transportation touches on most everything. In transportational law is a unique area of the law in that a lot of it is regulated by federal law and it’s governed by federal law and unique federal law for that matter.
Our firm and our particular practice is equipped to handle all facets of transportational law, whether they’re transactional matters, contracts with brokers or broker shipper agreements or carrier agreements, whether different types of reorganization issues the trucking companies have to go through. Litigations will vary and widely range from freight charge and collection matters to freight-damage matters to unfortunate catastrophic events with trucks and with rail and so on and so forth.
There’s then the regulatory component, and that’s what makes transportation really unique. Dealing with the Department of Transportation Authorities both at the federal and state level, dealing with the different taxing authorities because transportation and trucking and rail is so different. So there’s a wide range of areas that we’re equipped to handle, that we know how to handle. We’ve been doing it for a very, very long time.
