Sometimes more important than getting a lawyer when you’re first charged, is getting a lawyer if you’re being charged with violating your probation, because oftentimes when you’re on probation, or almost every time you’re on probation, you probably have some time hanging over your head. That means if you violate probation, the court can sentence some of that stayed jail time. So when you expose yourself in a probation violation, sometimes you’re more often to go to – you’re more likely to go to jail from a probation violation than you were from the original underlying offense.
