Spinal cord injuries, like traumatic brain injuries, can result from the trauma of a car accident or a fall off of a roof. We’ve seen, unfortunately, multiple cases at this point where individuals who’ve been employed by construction companies without harnesses that keep them safe from falling off of rooftops. We had one gentleman who fell off of a rooftop while laying sheeting. It was his first day on the job. He’d received no training, and he had no harness. We’ve seen spinal cord injuries result, as well, during surgeries, where for one reason or another, the spine may be deprived of sufficient oxygen. A stroke may result, and a spinal cord injury resulting in either paraplegia or quadriplegia may result from that.
Phoenix, AZ personal injury attorney Jeffrey B. Miller talks about cases he’s taken on that involved severe spinal cord injuries.
