One of the trends that we’ve seen is an increase in the number of folks that are on bicycles that are getting in accidents. One of the reasons for this is especially in the Phoenix metropolitan areas as well as Tucson, more and more people are using their bike to either go to school, which now we have ASU downtown or to work. And as a result, most of the people on the road are not paying proper attention to bikes and we’re seeing a number of different injuries that are occurring because a bicyclist isn’t seen by a motorist or a motorist is not being cautious and perceiving that a bicyclist might actually be sharing the road with him or her. That’s one of the areas that we are seeing more and more accidents and significant accidents and injuries sustained by bicyclists.
Phoenix, AZ personal injury attorney Gabe Kory talks about bicycle accidents and why the numbers are on the rise. He explains that in recent times, we have observed a notable increase in bicycle-related accidents. This trend is particularly prevalent in the Phoenix metropolitan areas and Tucson. More individuals are now opting to ride their bikes for commuting purposes, whether it’s to attend school, such as ASU downtown, or to go to work. Unfortunately, many motorists on the road fail to pay adequate attention to bicycles, leading to a significant number of injuries. These incidents occur when either the bicyclist goes unnoticed by a motorist or the motorist fails to exercise caution and recognize that they are sharing the road with cyclists. This specific area has seen a rise in accidents, with bicyclists suffering substantial injuries.
