My philosophy in practicing law no matter what case it is, is that I have to get the best result for the client. The clients are number one. I only exist because of the clients that come through the door. And then, once we take the case and take it forward, I have to be prepared to take that case all the way to a jury trial verdict. Sometimes cases settle but sometimes they don’t but you have to be prepared no matter what in every case to take it all the way to trial.

Well I have a bit of different background I’m the son of a Basque immigrants who immigrated to this country in the ’50s from Spain. And my mother and father raised my brother and I on a dairy farm here in Chino and taught us the value of a good work ethic. We worked side by side on the dairy farm and so I didn’t have the typical pedigree of somebody whose parents were lawyers or grandparents were lawyers and that’s what you were going to do. To the contrary, I was expected to be a dairy farm kid.

And then I decided to go to law school when I was in college. It intrigued me. I didn’t really know what being a lawyer would be like, luckily, I had mentors. But once I got into law school and then started practicing, I was lucky to come to this law firm. I started out as a law clerk for two summers and then now in my 26th year of practicing law all at this firm. I’ve never worked anywhere else. So I’ve truly been blessed to find the right home, the right niche for my practice right from the very beginning.

Los Angeles, CA personal injury lawyer Ricardo Echeverria talks about approach to the practice and his background before becoming an lawyer.
