Memphis, TN family law attorney Daniel Loyd Taylor talks about his background and experience that prepared him for his current practice. He notes that little can truly prepare someone for becoming a divorce lawyer. It was not his original intention to enter the field; rather, his career path unfolded when he began clerking for a skilled divorce attorney. Afterward, he joined the same lawyer as an associate, and over time, he himself became a divorce lawyer.

Today, he has practiced in the field for more than 44 years. For 34 of those years, he has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America for family law. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor extended to fewer than one percent of trial lawyers in the United States—an achievement he regards as both fortunate and meaningful.
