I think to become successful matrimonial lawyer there’s three important attributes. I think the first is that you need to truly care about your clients and about the work that you’re doing. I think the second attribute that I think is incredibly important is I think you need to listen to your client. Listening to their goals and what they want to accomplish and put a plan and put a strategy in place that carries out a client’s stated goals. And then I think you need to communicate and I think you need to communicate and communicate and communicate again. Getting back to a client and being responsive is such an important responsibility of a matrimonial attorney I can’t stress enough. So I think you need to care about your clients, I think you need to listen to your clients and I think you need to communicate to your clients on a regular basis.
