Well, I started out in public accounting and got involved in transfer tax work, which is estate and gift tax and generation-skipping transfer taxes, and found out that I’d rather be a wordsmith than a number smith and developed the practice solely and then developed it into the firm that we have today. It’s an area of law that’s intimate, and I enjoy that intimacy. It’s a position of honor and trust. Generally, our clients are long-term clients. So we’re not in the practice of doing document production that you see that you can get off the Internet. We act as advisors. And if you’re given that privilege, you may be there for a long time.
We have clients that have been with us for 20, 30 years, and you get to see the benefits of your planning. And the relationships are key. I think if I have one asset I covet the most, it’s my relationships both professionally and personally. But I enjoy our clients. It’s a very intimate of law like none other.
