really the main thing that I focus on is
trying to help people which a lot of
people say that but that is where I get
my the most satisfaction out of my job
is when I’m really able to help people
that are in difficult times estate
planning is a difficult subject for a
lot of people because it makes them
anxious a lot of people don’t know
anything about it um they don’t know
what to expect they a lot of these
people have never dealt with a lawyer
and so they might be expecting somebody
that is just not easy to talk to not
very warm so I really try to deal with
people the way that I would want to be
dealt with and from what I can tell
that’s gone really well it’s pretty
successful I really enjoy it when people
at the end when we’re done working
together tell me how much I’ve helped
them how much they appreciate it and
that they’ve enjoyed working
together I would say the most rewarding
aspect of my practice is often with the
trust Administrations and the probates
when somebody’s passed away I’m dealing
with a surviving spouse or children
usually and it’s a very difficult time
for them and uh there’s a lot of
uncertainty there’s a lot of money
involved often times um and family and
money uh makes for a dangerous
combination so I’m able to help them
work through all of the anxiety that
they’ve got uh all of the discomfort and
I try to just be a calming voice of
Reason in a difficult time and when I’m
able to help them through that whole
process and they share how much they
appreciate it afterwards that really is
what I enjoy most about the job
