Minneapolis, MN employment law attorney Tara Jensen talks about he mentor in the practice and what she does outside of the office. She cites one of her mentors, Judge Ellis, a magistrate judge in the Southern District of New York, where she clerked during her first year out of law school. From him, she learned the importance of practicing law authentically, incorporating her own personality into her work. He often reminded her that one does not need to be the loudest in the room to be the most persuasive.
Outside of her professional life, she is a devoted mother to two young children: an eight-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter. She enjoys actively participating in their lives, attending field trips, performances, and sporting events. She finds that her children help her maintain a healthy balance between her personal and professional life, allowing her to fully engage both at home and at work.
