I became a lawyer because I wanted to help people and I was specifically drawn to employment law because of how I
observed that an employes’s livelihood and an employees wages um are so fundamental to that employes dignity and
existence in this world and when that space is interfered with um in a neg in a negative way and when an employee is
subjected ed to abuses in that space or um withheld proper wages, proper dignity
and respect in that space. Um it really affects their very being and the being of all those around them. Um I became a
lawyer so that I can help these individuals present their stories of injustice and enable them to move on
from there. um hopefully seeking redress and accountability.
I remember that every person’s story is important that the legal precedent and
the processes within each workplace is built upon proper treatment of each individual. that case law, that Supreme
Court precedent that um how a human resources department learns lessons and
moves forward depends upon each individual having a voice, each individual being considered and
hopefully through that process to make the pl the workplace a better place for all. I strive to help my clients be
empowered to tell their stories, their genuine stories of betrayal, of abuse,
of hurt, but also um of a passion for the work and the mission of their organization.
And I strive to inform the employer and my adversaries of the import of my clients stories um to get them to know
why they matter and to do something about that.
