Minneapolis, MN employment law attorney Anna Mitchell talks about why she became a lawyer and what she does outside of the office. She explains that her decision to become a lawyer was driven by a lifelong curiosity about the world. Growing up, she was often shy and reserved, except when discussing or debating issues she felt strongly about. Developing arguments and conducting research taught her the value of knowledge and reinforced the idea that knowledge is power. Pursuing a legal career was a natural step, as the field encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and the continuous pursuit of improvement. She appreciates that the legal landscape is ever-evolving, offering constant opportunities for growth and development, and she could not imagine a more fulfilling profession.
Outside of work, she identifies as a Florida native at heart. When the weather is warm, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and swimming. During the colder months, she can often be found indoors by the fireplace, immersed in a good book or working on a crossword puzzle, usually with a cat or two nearby.
