This is a great question and I think it can make all the difference. Hiring an attorney that’s either A) young, doesn’t have experience, real life experiences they are going through the motions for the first time. Somebody who has been there, done that can explain this to the client, can set expectations and therefore, less surprises. Surprises in litigation are bad and you want to have somebody who has the experience and that ability and the intellect to be able to review a fact scenario and then come up with your options for solutions. I think that that’s what makes an effective litigator. And avoiding those surprises, setting the expectations that will in the end make the client more satisfied.
