Minneapolis, MN employment law attorney Ashwin Madia talks about what evidence you need to prove sexual harassment. He points out that individuals who have experienced sexual harassment should not underestimate the value of their own testimony. Many believe that without physical evidence, their case is weak, but personal accounts of what occurred—what they saw, heard, and experienced—constitute compelling evidence in themselves.
He notes that additional support, such as witnesses who observed the events or saw the emotional impact on the individual, can strengthen a case. Documentation, including emails or workplace records, is also valuable, but not required. Ultimately, he stresses that the truth of the individual’s experience is sufficient to pursue a claim. He encourages anyone in such a situation to contact an attorney to discuss their case and understand their legal options.
