if you get a green card based on
marriage and at the time that the green
card is issued you have been married for
less than two years the federal
government gives you a green card that’s
only valid for two years and the purpose
of that is for the federal government to
evaluate your marriage after two years
to determine whether or not they still
believe that the marriage was entered
into in good faith many times when an
individual has a temporary or
conditional Green Card the marriage
breaks down but it’s important to know
that even if the marriage breaks down
the foreign National has options in
terms of getting immigration status even
if the marriage leads to a divorce we
have helped many many individuals
through that process which can be a
difficult process because they’re
dealing with both divorce and the
immigration system but there are
immigration options that are available
that we are happy to help people
navigate
