Typically, people who have children from a prior marriage or people as they get older, think about premarital planning. I’ve lately seen very young people start thinking about it.
And, the real issue is, when people like each other and love each other, that’s the best time to talk about what happens if we don’t like each other, and in a premarital agreement, you can decide how your assets will be divided in the event that in the future you do not like each other, or if one of you dies in the future.
So, I believe everyone who has assets, or everyone who has children from a prior marriage, needs some sort of premarital planning.
