Well, there are a lot of creative custody arrangements now. I think that both parents and courts are starting to recognize that parenting is very different now and fathers are much more involved than they historically have been. So you’re getting to see a lot of either shared physical custody agreements where it’s 50-50, they stay one week with one parent, one week with another. You’re also getting nesting agreements, which is where the parents change or leave the house and the children stay set. And then you’re also just getting a lot of nontraditional arrangements. Historically you would have an alternating weekend overnight schedule, and that would be what a parent could expect getting from a judge.
Now the judges will actually look at the lifestyle needs of both the families and the children and craft something that actually helps the kids and gives the parents a lot of rights to see their kids.
