Our fees in business litigation is usually hourly. The lawyers, paralegals, and assistants we charge by the hour and our expenses. Some cases, usually a plaintiffs case we consider whether the client wants us to work on a blended fee, which could include contingent elements that if we’re successful we get additional fees or blended hourly rates where the hourly rate increases. On the blended fees, that reduces the obligation of the client and in the event the claim is not successful, they have a lower obligation, but if the claim is successful then the law firm earns a higher fee.
