the philosophy that guides me as a
lawyer is a
protect my client that’s the number one
thing that I have uh and that I think
about whenever I talk to a new
prospective client or whenever I have a
client that I’m dealing with that we
have to go to court it is a simple
philosophy but if you remember who your
client is and what your goal is for each
case that you represent I suspect that
you will be successful some people
have different ideas of where and how
they want their cases to be handled so
you have to listen to them you really
have to know what the goal end of a
client is in order to be successful and
then my next
philosophy is preparation
once you know what your client wants you
have to be very prepared in order to
achieve that goal for your client and
these are the two things that guide me
every day

Chicago, IL commercial litigation attorney Gal Pissetzky discusses the philosophy that guides his work as a lawyer. He shares that the guiding philosophy in his legal practice centers on one fundamental principle: protecting the client. This priority shapes every interaction, whether speaking with a prospective client or representing someone in court. By consistently focusing on who the client is and what the desired outcome of each case entails, he ensures that his approach remains aligned with the client’s best interests.

Understanding a client’s objectives is critical, as each individual may have different expectations for how their case should be handled. Listening carefully and identifying the client’s goals are essential steps to achieving success.

Equally important is preparation. Once the client’s goals are clear, thorough preparation is necessary to effectively pursue and achieve those objectives. These two principles—client protection and meticulous preparation—serve as the foundation of his practice every day.
