The good news for a practitioner in that area is that the role of government seems to be in an expanding mode right now. The problem for our clients is that that runs counter to the efficiencies and economies that the business needs. If somebody selling something – let’s use an insurance agent. If their licensed and they have a problem that comes up that interferes with their ability to do business. So, expanding government roles and government oversight sometimes can be beneficial, but it is always an increased expense for business. So, it has to be managed very carefully to keep it at the minimum necessary to maintain good business practices and proper licensing.

Las Vegas, NV business law attorney James L. Wadhams talks about the trends he sees in administrative law. He explains that the positive aspect for a practitioner in this field is that government involvement appears to be expanding currently. However, the challenge for clients is that this expansion often conflicts with the efficiencies and cost-effectiveness that businesses require.
He explains that if someone, such as an insurance agent, encounters a licensing issue that disrupts their ability to operate, increased government oversight can create additional burdens. While such oversight can sometimes be beneficial, it inevitably adds expense to a business. Managing these regulatory requirements carefully is essential to ensure compliance while maintaining efficient and sustainable business practices.
