We focus on catastrophic personal injury cases and wrongful death cases. In a catastrophic injury case is one that has forever changed someone’s life. An injury where someone’s able to draw a line and say my life was like this before this happened to me and it will never be the same. We can do other cases but we mostly choose not to because we only take a certain number of cases. And we take cases that we can put all of our attention to and we find those are the ones that we find most rewarding.
Los Angeles, CA personal injury attorney Thomas Johnston talks about the types of cases his firm usually takes on. He focuses on catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. A catastrophic injury, he explains, is one that permanently changes a person’s life—an injury after which someone can clearly mark life as “before this happened” and “after this happened.” While his firm can handle other types of cases, they generally choose not to, preferring to take only a limited number of matters. This allows them to dedicate full attention to each case, and he finds these are the cases that are the most meaningful and rewarding.
