I think when you’re looking for a family

law attorney it’s extremely important to

understand what type of attorney you

want how do you want your case to go

what are you looking for it’s a very

personal type of case you know if you’re

in if you need a family attorney it’s

because probably things aren’t going so

well in some area right you’re dealing

with children families divorces when I

have uh consults with clients I always

tell them it’s a two-way street they

have to feel that uh you know I I am a

good fit for them and that they’re a

good fit for me there are all different

types of attorneys and so you know you

want to decide do I want that pit bull

that’s going to fight fight fight or do

I want to do this cooperatively and I

just want you know this to kind of go

smoothly go quickly as possible and

there’s different ways to go about it so

those are the things you should think

about when you’re looking uh at who you

want to hire

is when I started my firm and the whole

impetus behind me starting couple law

was really which is our tagline right

which is we do a lot differently you

know be heard and be empowered and

that’s not just some words I came up

with that was something that over the

years of working for different firms and

I work for you know the public sector

and I just always would think you know I

would do this differently you know I

there are things that I would do

differently you know I want to you know

be compassionate I want to take time

with these people and their emotions and

what they’re going through and really

relate to them I want them to feel like

I’m in their corner and you know when I

say I’m going to do something I do it

and when they speak they’re heard I

don’t know why that’s not um the the

sort of gold standard but that’s

definitely why I started my firm and I

doing the things that I’m doing
