It’s very difficult when you have a
client charged with touching a child,
touching a 10-year-old or an 8-year-old
because most people uh when you look
across the world or even just thinking
about jury specifically believe children
and it’s very difficult sometimes to
overcome that uh that truthtelling of a
child. But if anyone who has children
knows that that’s not always the case.
Kids lie. Kids tell white lies. Kids fib
about all sorts of little things. And
sadly, they’re very easily manipulated
by another parent, by a grandparent, or
by anybody. Um, even by someone who
actually molested them, could convince
them that it was someone else that
happened that did it to them, that it
happened through someone else. And I
think that’s my biggest challenge is
dealing with the opinions of a child or
the testimony of a child when it comes
to a trial. I think that’s the hardest
part.
