Our approach to complex business cases is from the very outset determine what the litigation strategy would be through verdict. And it sometimes requires a little more concentration up front to figure out exactly what we want to achieve through the litigation process two years out. But if you don’t do that, if you don’t’ have that game plan then you are not going to be efficient in the way you defend or prosecute a case and you will ultimately end up not positioning the case in the way you need to achieve that outcome.

Our experience has been that when we’re in a dispute and it’s very clear to other side that we are litigating this to go to trial that gives us enormous leverage in negotiating settlements with them if that’s what our clients choose to do. And it comes out in the way we take our depositions, it comes out in the way we serve discovery requests, we are efficient we don’t just bombard the other side for the sake of bombarding them. We know what we need for a trial and that’s what we focus on and that has been a very valuable strategy for us in really achieving our client’s objectives. It happens and it starts from the very beginning of the engagement.
