The PI report, and different railroads have different names for them, are standard forms and really you would be entitled to call your lawyer and ask how do I fill a form out before you do it. Normally you have 48 hours to fill out an accident report and you shouldn’t have to fill it out immediately when you’re hurt, when you’re in pain trying to get to a doctor or immediately when you’ve seen a doctor and you’re under any type of narcotics. So if you have the time, take the form home, call a lawyer and ask what the questions mean and a lawyer can help you fill the form out.
