What’s most important is that you have a good relationship with your doctor and get what you need. Unfortunately, some railroads if you sign a release will have their own nurses, their claims people contact your doctor, maybe mislead them and say this is a workers’ comp case as opposed to an FELA case. Maybe say oh, just sign and say this person can come back to work so that they don’t have to report it to the federal government and that can really hurt if that’s not accurate if the doctors are misled. And if they can have private conversations with your doctors that can happen and it has happened in the past.
