What are hard assets? When I’m doing an audit, the first thing and probably the easiest thing to look for are what I call hard intellectual assets. And those are essentially registrations, patent filings, trademark filings, copyright filings, domain registrations, things that are a government approved form of intellectual property protection and don’t rely specifically on contract or other common law types of protections.
