when people have a divorce they have to
resolve all that ancillary relief right
how are they going to resolve custody of
their children and the finances when
people agree and they have a sign
written agreement outlining everything
that they’ve agreed to as the divorce
terms if you will they can just process
the divorce as an uncontested divorce
there’s paperwork that procedurally
needs to be prepared and filled out so
that the clerk and the judge can grant
the divorce and they never appear in a
courtroom so that’s essentially what an
uncontested divorce is when you hear
contested it means we haven’t yet worked
out how to resolve all those different
issues and so now we have to decide what
method we’re going to use to try to
reach a resolution
