In one recent case, an elderly woman sought legal help after receiving a notice from her son to vacate the home she had lived in for more than 30 years. Upon investigation, it was discovered that her son was attempting to sell the house, in collaboration with a real estate investor, for far less than its actual value.

Evidence suggested that the son had been diverting his mother’s assets for his own benefit and intended to keep the proceeds from the sale.
