If you’re charged with murder, you want
to exercise your right to silence. You
want to consult with a criminal defense
lawyer and retain a lawyer as soon as
possible. And you want to start working
on your case and on your defense. Often
times, I will be retained for appeal or
habius corpus years and years after the
person’s gone to trial and been
convicted. And at that point, it’s much
harder to undo what’s been done to get a
reversal. So, I would also advise
clients and their family to put all
their resources in on the front end and
hire counsel then as opposed to waiting
and then trying to uh help the person
after they’ve already been convicted and
it might be too late.
