One involved a tragic accident in which a young woman lost her life when a truck rounding a bend collided with a car stopped to make a left-hand turn, pushing it across the center line. The crash claimed the life of the client’s daughter. The primary challenge in that case was managing multiple severely injured parties while navigating limited insurance coverage to ensure his client received the largest possible portion.
Another case involved a semi-truck that devastated an entire motorcycle club in North Carolina. Eleven or twelve members had stopped on the roadway when the truck driver fell asleep and veered off course. Several were killed, and others suffered catastrophic injuries, including limb loss. The complexity of the case was heightened by the fact that each victim was represented by a different lawyer, and most assumed the truck’s $1 million insurance policy would cover all damages. He refused to accept that limitation, diligently uncovering additional sources of coverage—through the trailer, the broker, and other avenues—ultimately securing millions in extra funds and dramatically increasing the settlement his client received.
