one of the most rewarding aspects
00:06
of the practice of law in fact the most
00:09
rewarding aspect
00:10
is getting to know the clients
00:13
being able to give them a sense that
00:16
they have someone there who’s going to
00:17
take care of them
00:18
and i have clients who still write me
00:21
letters
00:22
years later we become very close with
00:24
our clients and that is the most
00:26
rewarding part
00:27
when you can really help them and give
00:29
them some peace
00:35
my philosophy as a personal injury
00:37
lawyer is that the truth
00:40
will always come out good or bad
00:44
and i am a truth seeker that may sound
00:46
cliche
00:47
but that’s going to give us the smoking
00:50
guns that we need
00:53
i’m always searching for the truth and
00:55
that guides my entire practice and when
00:57
i talk to
00:58
clients one of the first things i tell
01:00
them is tell me
01:01
everything even if you think there’s
01:03
something in your background that maybe
01:05
hurts
01:06
you or this case tell me everything
01:09
i can deal with the truth we can handle
01:11
it we can
01:13
work with that i cannot deal with
01:14
anything less than the truth and when
01:16
i’m deposing
01:17
uh the opposing party what i’m looking
01:20
for
01:21
is that one nugget it’s gonna come out
01:24
and it’s going to be the truth and
01:26
that’s what’s going to make our case
Los Angeles, CA personal injury attorney Lauren Bullock talks about the most rewarding aspect of the practice as well as the philosophy that guides her work as a lawyer. She shares that one of the most rewarding aspects of practicing law, in fact the most rewarding, is getting to know her clients and giving them the assurance that someone is there to take care of them. She has clients who still write to her years later. She forms close relationships with those she represents, and helping them find peace is the most fulfilling part of her work.
Her philosophy as a personal injury lawyer is that the truth will always come out, whether good or bad. She is a dedicated truth-seeker. While it may sound cliché, uncovering the truth is what provides the “smoking guns” needed in a case. She is always searching for the truth, and it guides her entire practice.
When speaking with clients, one of the first things she tells them is to share everything, even if there are details in their background that could complicate the case. She assures them that she can handle the truth, and that honesty is essential. Anything less than the truth cannot be worked with.
During depositions of the opposing party, she looks for that one critical detail—the nugget that will reveal the truth and ultimately strengthen the case. That pursuit of truth is what drives her work and shapes her success.
