He has been practicing law for approximately fifteen years. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he served as a police officer for a municipal police department in New Jersey while attending law school at night in New York. Following law school, he practiced law in Nashville, Tennessee, for about fifteen years before relocating to Oregon, where he has been practicing for the past year and a half.
