Irvine, CA family law attorney Amanda Beall talks about why she became a lawyer and the most rewarding aspect of her practice. She shares that she grew up in a family of lawyers, so following in their footsteps felt like a natural path. From a young age, she remembers wanting to become a lawyer. Around her senior year in high school, she made the decision to pursue law school and, more specifically, to practice family law. While she wasn’t sure how seriously others took her at the time, she never wavered in her professional goals. Years later, she now practices in a field of law she genuinely enjoys every day.
She notes that family lawyers often meet clients at some of the lowest points in their lives. These clients may be grieving the loss of an important relationship, fearful of the future, uncertain about their finances, and concerned about the impact of the dissolution process on their children. As their attorney, she serves as a guiding light, helping them navigate what can be a chaotic and unpredictable process.
For her, the most rewarding part of the work isn’t just achieving a favorable outcome—whether through settlement or trial—but witnessing the positive impact her efforts have on her clients’ lives and their futures.
