For uh more than 25 years, I practice as
a plaintiff’s uh medical malpractice
attorney representing families against
doctors in lawsuits. And I draw upon
upon that experience now to uh advise
doctors who are sued. Basically, I’m not
the attorney that uh will try the case
if it goes to trial because the doctor’s
insurance company appoints an attorney
to do that, but I work behind the
scenes. Uh it’s called personal counsel.
Um I represent the doctor um kind of
behind the scenes to make sure that the
doctor’s interests are protected. So, to
make sure that we take the steps so that
there’s adequate insurance coverage in
the event that the doctor goes to trial
and loses. And in appropriate cases, we
will I will work with the insurance
company to try to get the case settled
before it even goes to trial if that’s
what the doctor wants. Uh and if that’s
in the doctor’s best interest
