St. Louis, MO estate & probate attorney Martha Brown shares the philosophy that guides her work and discusses her service to the community. When people come to see her, they are often in the midst of a crisis. She shares that she works closely with families who are trying to help a loved one through extremely difficult situations, and she strives to make the process as seamless and compassionate as possible. She knows that many of these families are exhausted from dealing with professionals who don’t return calls or provide curt, impersonal answers. Her goal is to be different—to show genuine understanding and empathy, to let them know that she recognizes their struggle, and to make an already challenging time a little easier to bear.

Beyond her work with clients, she is deeply involved in her professional and local communities. She has long been active in bar association activities and was one of the first presidents and chairs of the Elder Law Committee of the Missouri Bar. She is also a founding member and past president of the Missouri chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Over the years, she has served on numerous community boards and takes great pride in contributing her experience to organizations that have made a tangible difference in her clients’ lives. For her, giving back is not just a responsibility—it’s a meaningful way to support the network of care that strengthens families and communities alike.
